Lisa Johnson is a London based designer known for her signature style of ultra feminine dresses layered with unstructured under-pinnings of lingerie.
Lisa creates romantic, sensuous pieces that blend luxury fabrics, tulles, laces and silks sourced from the finest couture mills of Europe. In each collection, Lisa infuses her clothes with fresh new essence - prissy perfection.
Lisa was born and raised in Wales; she relocated to attend Harrow College, London, where she received a First in Fashion Design. While at college Lisa worked for Vivienne Westwood and Bella Freud. Shortly after graduation Lisa launched her eponymous label and was chosen by the British Fashion Council to be part of the first 'New Generation Group' in 1995. Lisa showed at London Fashion Week for several seasons.
At the turn of the century, Lisa married a New Yorker and moved her label to New York City. While based in NY, Lisa was stocked in Barney's, Sak's Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Scoop and Kirna Zabete.
In Asia, Lisa was stocked in Barney's Japan, Beams, Lane Crawford and Isetan.

A story of comfy loungewear inspired by visits to Venice with my family. The lifestyle of Peggy Guggenheim who had the most amazing dreamy Venetian palazzo and private art gallery in Venice called the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni on the Grand Canal.
Ladylike dresses in embroidered tulles, jade crepe de chine, fish scale laces, diamanté slips & pyjamas in stretch silk satin. Set the scene for a decadent but playful relaxed look. Dresses are named after Peggy’s dogs. A palate of frosted mint greens, nude and sugared, dusty pinks. Sweet confections with puff sleeves and feathered cuffs and hemlines teamed with fluffy cardies dreamed up to sip Bellinis at Cipriani.

Le Jardin Secret collection
A story of friendship, belief in one’s self, and the power of nature come together to make the magic of the secret garden.
The feelings created by the healing powers of flowers and plants inspired the vibe fashioned in pieces that layer to form luxury lounge pieces.
The collection is inspired by the children’s book “The Secret Garden” and a family visit to Versailles. Fabrics are butterfly laces, spot tulles, flowered devores, fruit embroidered organzas, pink palm laces, and coral cotton leaf lace.
Colours are Primrose, coral, pink, mint; silks dusted with diamanté hearts, bows of all sizes, and butterfly appliqués.

Afterall is a story of plays with layering. Flyaway dress silhouettes focusing on feelings of ease and peacefulness.

Colours are sugar coated, inspired by pick’ n ’mix sweeties from childhood. Palma violet crochet tulles worn over nude, black and lilac.
Embroidered tulles in neapoloitain pinks & mints create candy confections to capture the feeling of “prissy femininity”.
Art Deco panelled lace in nude and jet black dresses in shapes inspired by kimonos as worn by Japanese ladies in Kyoto getting coffee at starbucks - old worlds to new ones.
A visit to the Golden Temple in Kyoto, Japan last year was breathtaking; Kyoto is a total sensory overload.
Chemises, slips and knickers trimmed with pleated panels and art deco laces. Shapes and details are taken from lingerie pieces collected like a magpie from Portobello market over the years.
Swiss dot cottons in multi dot colours, silk satins in nude, jet black pinks and lilacs.
Baby-doll style silk linen dresses in candy floss pinks,vanilla puff and ice blue. Fitted bodice dresses with pleated panels and pleated, art deco trims.

A dress and soft lingerie story inspired by transformation and the feeling of being safe and cocooned; how a butterfly can be enclosed in a cocoon yet will soon be the essence of lightness and ease. The collection focuses on colour, texture and playing with layers.
Shapes and silhouettes are drawn from images taken from Charles James’ inspiration montage that hung on his wall at the Chelsea Hotel.
Colours are ice cream pastels, black and glacier whites. Soft shades combine with black to create a dramatic edge. Candy coloured confections create a new fresh essence of femininity - "prissy perfection".
Star embroidered tulles in pink, mint and black with inflowing shapes over slips, chemise and knickers. Fishnet laces in white and black named after stars.
Sensous silks line the lace pieces, trimmed with art deco tulle edges. Chemise, slips & knickers are appliqued with Eiffel towers graphic lines; a story inspired by a trip the designer took to Paris with her daughter.
Leopard laces in chocolate and pink combined with star tulles blending the luxury fabrics together.
Each piece is designed to transport the wearer into a dreamy atmosphere - that place still in the cocoon, still ensconced in warmth, but about to float into the air full of levity and beauty.
